October Event: Climate Change Workshop - Build a Go-Bag

Climate Change Workshop:
Build a Go-Bag

October 24th 2019 at 6:00 pm
Pizzeria Urbano – 1050 20th Street, Suite 150, Sacramento

Fire Season is here - come join us for beer and food as we build fire go-bags in anticipation of the season!

** Environmental professionals, despite being some of the most climate-aware people, could potentially be the least prepared for the increasing climate emergencies (such as floods and fires). This workshop will take a step towards remedying this as participants can build their own emergency go-bag **

A go-bag is a prepacked backpack that is kept for emergencies, such as fires and floods. Inside are the essentials one would need for several days when staying at home is not an option. During this session, attendees will learn what to pack in a go-bag, take stock of any purchases still needed for the bag, and share packing tips. The event will conclude with an optional carpool to Big 5 for to pick up the last essentials you might be needing for your backpack. Bring your own go-bag or an even an empty backpack to get started. The more you bring, the more likely you are to go home with a complete bag and peace of mind. See the next page for a recommended list.
